Examine the metabolism of people with diabetes

Examine the foundations of normal metabolism, as well as metabolism in different states: fed, fasting and exercise. Analyse the effects of glucose and insulin.

This course is the second of five which make-up the Deakin University unit, HND701 Pathophysiology of Diabetes. It is part of the Deakin Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education, one of the first degrees to be offered on FutureLearn.

Dr Virginia Hagger is a RN-CDE, who has worked in the diabetes field as a clinician, program manager and researcher. She is the Course Leader for the Grad Cert in Diabetes Education.
