Your lead educator is Martin Nthakomwa, module course lecturer in International Disaster Relief and Community Reconstruction at Coventry University.

Martin Nthakomwa

Martin is both an academic and experienced humanitarian, with nearly two decades of experience. He has taught humanitarian policymakers and practitioners from every corner of the globe and has worked both with and in many international humanitarian agencies in the United Kingdom.

Moustafa Osman

On this course, we are also joined by Moustafa Osman, international humanitarian relief expert and a visiting lecturer in disaster management from Birmingham University (UK). He has extensive first-hand experience in many elements of managing complex humanitarian emergencies and natural disasters, including assessment, setting up operations, programme design and implementation, monitoring, and evaluating humanitarian responses to a variety of incidents around the world.

The content has been prepared by experts in the field including Paul Trickett, Marion MacLellan and El Parker.
