In 2013 England’s Chief Medical Officer, Dame Sally Davis gives a great overview of the growing problem of antibiotic resistance. You can watch the 11 minute video here. She explains that the overuse of antibiotics is leading us down a path to disaster where we will no longer be able to treat infections caused by bacteria with these incredibly useful drugs. She highlights how important it is to have good hygiene in order to reduce the risk of developing infections.”
