Skip to 0 minutes and 2 secondsWelcome to Week 5 of the course, which is the final week. This is also the scary week. Why? Because we are going to talk about artificial intelligence, about smart computers, about all those things that science fiction movies get us scared about. So this is also scary for another reason and this is that probably you did not notice, but I was dragging you towards thinking deeper and deeper about technology, about yourself, and how your world is shaped by technology. Now, this week, you actually need to get into philosophical depth. You need to start thinking really deep about things like whether there is a thinking machine, whether it is possible. What happens if we have a thinking machine?

Skip to 0 minutes and 53 secondsWill the AI kill off humanity? Will it have also superior moral principles besides being so incredibly smart? But then, we also come back to reality just to see, are these machines really, really that smart and how we use them.
