Discover the evolving influences and challenges for BCM and CM

This course investigates how organisational politics, behaviours, culture, governance, and compliance are influential factors in BCM/CM settings. Learning will entail how industry practice, geography and changing risk environments underpin effective BCM/CM.

You’ll learn about the role of Industry 3.0 and the advent of cyber risks as disruptive challenges to the smooth running of organisations.

You will also explore key theories such as high reliability and normal accident risks, and the impacts of systemic and systematic failure modes in complex, tightly coupled and time-sensitive systems.

This course is aimed at people who want to learn about how geography and changing risk environments influence Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management.

I am an ex Local Authority emergency planner, with 8 years experience. I have been teaching for 4 years in Crisis & Disaster Management and have also conducted research in disaster recovery in Italy.
