Going deeper

Read about what we have learned in the course Introducing humanism: non-religious approaches to life, and what conclusions we might draw.

Where can I go to learn more?

We have only been able to touch on some of the topics that a study of humanism invites us to, and, of those we have, we have only skimmed the surface. For those of you who want to learn more, the recommended reading in the downloads section below will hopefully take you deeper.

From their stories, you’ll learn about their motivations, the diverse ways in which humanism can be expressed, and the beliefs and values that unite them. The course is led by writer and broadcaster Alice Roberts and features contributions from scientists, artists, writers, and campaigners, including Polly Toynbee, Jim al-Khalili, Frank Turner, Natalie Haynes, and Steven Pinker.
