Discover how to optimise creativity in entrepreneurship

Understanding entrepreneurship and innovation is essential for identifying new opportunities and achieving sustainable competitive advantage.

On this four-week course from Sentinel|9, you’ll develop and enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.

You’ll start by delving into creativity for entrepreneurs, the theories surrounding it, and how to develop a growth mindset for entrepreneurial success.

Explore intrapreneurs and what makes an innovative organisation

Achieving innovations in an organisation needs a multidisciplinary approach, coordinating and integrating different individuals across specialist functions and knowledge domains.

This course will guide you through the techniques and tools that foster innovation in an organisation, such as think tanks, storyboarding, and specialised IT systems.

You’ll then look at corporate intrapreneurs; employees within an organisation that innovate like entrepreneurs. You’ll learn the skills that intrapreneurs often hold and how leaders can build a culture of innovation.

Learn the different pathways to finance start-ups

There are a number of finance options for entrepreneurs, from personal savings and loans to angel investors and venture capital.

During week three of this course, you’ll learn about each type of finance option available for start-ups before examining the pros and cons of each.

Develop succession plans and exit strategies

For the final week of this course, you’ll learn the process for identifying and developing key leaders in your company in order to build a succession plan. Then, you’ll discuss different exit strategies, such as a sale of equity, going public, or even liquidation.
