Role playing 1

This week we are practicing some expressions we can use when shopping at a store. When asking for the price of goods we asked ‘얼마예요?’. After that, they will tell us the price.

Now we are going to practice how to read prices in Korean. For example ‘50,000원’ is 오만 원[O man won]. What about ‘15,000원’? Is it 일만 오천 원[il man O ch’eon won’]? You don’t have to say the number 일[il]. It’s 만 오천 원 [man O ch’eon won.]

Let’s practice some more dialogue for better pronunciation through Role playing. you can choose a character (Customer or Clerk) try to practice one more time.

1) Customer’s part of the dialogue

• 손님: 이 바지 _____?

• 점원: 오만 원이에요.

• 손님: 이 티셔츠는 _____?

• 점원: 만 오천 원이에요. 한번 입어 보세요.

2) Clerk’s part of the dialogue

• 손님: 이 바지 얼마예요?

• 점원: _____원이에요.

• 손님: 이 티셔츠는 얼마예요?

• 점원: 만 오천 원이에요. 한번 _____ 보세요.
