understanding expressions : can you play baseball? can you do Yoga?

Please follow the instructions with the educator.

The expression ‘할 수 있어요.’ is used here to talk about things you´re capable of doing. So when talking about being able to swim you should say ‘수영을 할 수 있어요.’ On the contrary, when saying that you cannot swim, it will be ‘수영을 못해요.’

Example)

  • A: 안나 씨는 수영 을 할 수 있어요?

  • B : 네, 저는 수영 을 할 수 있어요.

  • B : 조엘 씨는 야구 를 할 수 있어요?

  • A: 아니요, 저는 야구 를 못해요.
