Grammar 1 (-(으)ㄹ까요?)

How to use of some grammars or sentences, differences in the use of particles. In this week we are going to learn ‘-(으)ㄹ까요?’


(Attached to a verb) It is used to suggest an activity to a listener and to ask the listener of his or her intentions.

When used with “we,” it creates a meaning of “doing something together.”

For example, it is often used in a situation where a group of people are deciding on a menu by saying “뭐 먹을까요?”. ‘-을까요’ is used after a verb with final consonant and ‘-ㄹ까요’ is used after a vern without final consonant or is ending in ‘ㄹ’ as final consonant.

① 받침 (Y) + -을까요

* 먹을까요
* 읽을까요

② 받침 (N), ㄹ 받침 + -ㄹ까요

* 갈까요
* 탈까요
* 만들까요
