This course will introduce you to the Korean language, and present and explain Korean culture, enabling you to have real Korean conversations.

During the course, you will learn Korean phrases, greetings, vocabulary, numbers, spelling and grammar. It is composed not only of the explanation and presentation of culture but also the activities related to Korean language.

By the end of the course, you will be able to have a real Korean conversation with your newly acquired knowledge of the Korean language. This course will give you a taste of language skills and Korean cultures.

I’m guessing most of you have probably heard bits about Korea For example – such as the fact that Korea is a small country in East Asia, that Korea is famous for Taekwondo and Kimchi, or that Korea is politically divided into North and South, and so on. However, Korea has much more things to offer that hold great cultural values and those are the Korean alphabet, its spoken language, and its culture. Hello everyone. 안녕하세요? I am Young-sook Lee, and I teach Korean Language at Hanyang University. Hello everyone. My name is Jungho Ahn, I’ll be guiding you in this course.

This course consists of a series of lectures that is designed for avid learners of Korean language and culture so that by watching and listening to the video clips, people will learn and speak not only Korean language but also experience the culture. This course will be followed by a beginner’s level, and the intro course consists of multiple lectures on greetings, introductions, ordering food, planning for weekend activities, setting up times to meet, and etc. By studying simple expressions, it will allow students to learn basic communication in Korean language.
