  • 足利(あしかが) :a city located in Tochigi Prefecture, in the northern Kantō region of Japan. [2.1]
  • 足利学校(あしかががっこう) :Ashikaga-Gakkō, meaning the Ashikaga School is Japan’s oldest academic institution. [2.1],[2.7],[2.11]

  • 江戸城(えどじょう) :(J. Edo-Jō), A castle build by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1457. It was the residence of the shogun and the military capital in Edo period of Japanese history. It is a part of the Tokyo Imperial Palace today and is located in Chiyoda, Tokyo. [2.15]
