Skip to 0 minutes and 9 seconds I’d like to finish this session with a section that really doesn’t quite belong to it because this is playing “Satin Doll” with a playalong. The reason I want to include it is because “Satin Doll” is such an important tune in terms of jam sessions that I’d like you to hear what it sounds like played with a playalong. But I will introduce one new idea - this is an idea which really belongs to Special Devices. We have met it already, it’s called “locked hands”. The idea is that you lock the left hand in with the right hand so every note you play in the right hand you make the chord agree with it in the left hand - like this.
Skip to 0 minutes and 57 seconds In fact, we can in put in the extra notes as well that we had before.
Skip to 1 minute and 17 seconds That’s called locked hands and we’re going use a playalong for “Satin Doll” from volume 54 which is my favourite Aebersold volume.
