At the end of Week 2 you should be able to :-

  1. Play “Moanin’” as a solo piece

  2. Improvise on “Moanin’” using the F Dorian scale throughout

  3. Improvise on “Moanin’” using the F American Blues Scale in the A sections and phrases involving the thirds of the chords in the B section

  4. Improvise on a Skeletal Minor Blues Sequence with a playalong using upper and lower voicings

  5. Improvise on a ‘Trane Minor Blues Sequence with a playalong using upper and lower voicings

  6. Play a “two-fisted” Tyner vamp for “Equinox” using a playalong

  7. Play the tune of “Equinox” using double octaves with a playalong

  8. Attempt playing the tune of “Equinox” with a Tyner vamp in the left hand and a playalong

  9. Attempt improvising on “Equinox” with a Tyner vamp in the left hand and a playalong
