At the end of Week 1 you should be able to:
- Play the 3 seventh chords C7, F7, G7 in root position in the left hand and use them to play a skeletal blues four to the bar In C
- Play the American Blues Scale in C, F and G in the right hand
- Understand what is meant by jazz quavers and how they appear in written form in jazz
- Play the tune “Things Ain’t What They Used To Be” and begin improvising on the American Blues Scale using principally jazz quavers
