Before you started the course, we asked you to take a few moments to see how you were feeling at that time about labour and birth. Now we’re asking you to answer the same questions again so that you can look back later and see have your feelings changed. Remember, there are no right or wrong answers to these questions!

Take this short survey on your feelings about labour and birth.

This survey is for your own self-assessment, and any free text submitted will be included in the word cloud featured in step 6.9. The information will not be used for research or any other purposes. The survey is optional and should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Your participation or otherwise will not affect your course progress, marks or FutureLearn profile. All information is collected anonymously.

In Step 6.9, we will show you a word cloud of the words written in this survey from all learners. We will ask you to reflect on whether your words are similar to other women’s and, if so, in what ways.

• If you would like more information and help about anxiety in pregnancy and postnatal, you can look again at the videos in Step 1.4.
• If you would like more information and help about reducing fear of childbirth, have a look back at Step 3.4, Step 3.5 and Step 4.8.

Keep practising your relaxation or hypnobirthing mantras so that they become automatic for you. If you are worried about any particular part of labour or birth, look back at where those topics were covered in the past few weeks.

The more knowledge you have, the more relaxed you will be, as you will understand how your body works and copes throughout labour.
