Naratgeul Korean Mobile Keyboard

We can apply what we learned about the principles of Hangeul character creation to fit the entire Hangeul alphabet on 12 keys. Let’s look at the “Naratgeul” keyboard which uses the principles of Hangeul creation and adding strokes.

Can you see the keyboard’s characteristics? The basic characters ‘ㄱ, ㄴ, ㅁ, ㅅ, ㅇ’ are on the keyboard, and on the bottom left is the “Add Stroke” button. You can add strokes to the basic characters to make other consonants. For example, to create the character ‘ㅋ’ you enter ‘ㄱ’ followed by the “Add stroke” button. If you want to type ‘ㄷ’ you press ‘ㄴ’ followed by the “Add stroke” button. By applying the principle of adding strokes to the basic characters to the keyboard, you can make all the consonants with six buttons. The “Naratgeul” keyboard minimizes finger movement and it’s quick to use when repeatedly entering the same character.
