Summary of the week

This is a short summary of Week 2 - where we've looked at driving change ethically, understanding emotions and involving people in the change process.

We have seen this week that it is vital to involve employees in the change process, rather than have the change be perceived as something that has been imposed on them. We’ve discussed the importance of building trust and establishing an open dialogue – one where listening and being prepared to act on feedback are essential.

Next week we’ll be looking at how we can protect the change initiative from threats, think about practical interventions and, finally, pull some of the main takeaways together. The week (and course) ends with the opportunity to work on a peer assignment and share feedback with other learners.
