Ensure people-centred change in your organisation stays on track

Many leaders and managers struggle when it comes to managing change, especially if it affects people. This course looks at how we can manage people-centred change effectively. You will learn the importance of bringing people with you through change, and consider the moments where change can go wrong and how to avoid them.

Change does not need to be overwhelming, if it is managed well - find out what those of us with leadership or management responsibilities can do to keep things on track with this course.

    • Enablers of change

In this activity, we will introduce the course team and focus on what enables change in an organisation.

    • Engaging people in change

In this activity we'll consider how others may view the change and look at ways we can identify key people with an interest in the process (stakeholders) and communicate effectively with them.

  • Week 2

    During change

    • Being responsive to employee needs

In this activity, we'll look at employee needs, the kinds of reaction we might expect from the change process and how we can adapt our communication styles and build trust through adopting ethical practices.

    • Getting commitment and engagement

In this activity we'll look at how to create an effective dialogue, plan for difficult conversations and look at how to help people make sense of the change and what it means for them.

  • Week 3

    Sustaining change

    • Keeping momentum and managing threats

In this activity we'll consider how to monitor the implementation of a change project - taking account of the risks and acting on any issues that threaten its success.
