Learning online

This is an open online course. It provides opportunity for discussion, short video clips for you to watch, questions for you to consider, and links to relevant reading material.

It’s also a space for social learning, and is designed to cope with large numbers of learners, promoting nationwide shared learning across a multi-agency audience.

Successful completion of this course will allow you as a professional, and your organisation, to monitor your learning and demonstrate compliance at the required level. This is a Sponsored course, which means that learners can obtain a free certificate once they become eligible. To be eligible, you must mark at least 90% of the steps on this course as complete.

Taking part

We encourage you to take an active part in the course by adding comments and replying to those made by others. You can do this in the Comments section at the bottom of each step.

We encourage you to support each other through tips, comments and advice based on personal experiences. Sharing experiences may be helpful to you, and your comments and replies may help others. However, please be sensitive as other people may have very different stories to tell from your own.
