Analysing water sensitive urban design

Record and share the location of water sensitive urban design and stormwater management features in your local area.

What you need to do

Search the internet and explore websites of Local Government departments or authorities responsible for specifying water sensitive urban design or stormwater management in your city or local area.

Based on your research, explore your local area and identify features in your area that demonstrate principles of water sensitive urban design or stormwater management. If you’re able, photograph, sketch or record video of the feature, making sure you provide a description of the feature and then share with the Monash Water for liveable and resilient cities group on Flickr (You can also use any of the other image-hosting services listed on the Social media and tools page of FutureLearn).

Add the location of water sensitive urban design or stormwater management feature to the map

Return to this step and then within the Comments, enter the name and location of the feature with a brief description.

Contribute to the discussion by reviewing two or three locations submitted by other learners and commenting on their entry, making sure you provide constructive feedback and commentary.
