Skip to 0 minutes and 19 secondsHi, how are you doing? We’ve already done 2 weeks of the LSC course. Today we begin week 3, so we’ve almost done half the course! You now know how to greet people and introduce yourself in LSC. You have also learned or remembered basic ideas about sign languages. The finger exercises from last week were great training, and you’ve really practiced your dactylology.

Skip to 0 minutes and 52 secondsThis week we’ll work on three important areas: We’ll learn about more issues connected with the deaf community We’ll also go to the market to learn numbers and foods

Skip to 1 minute and 11 secondsAnd we’ll finish the week with a very interesting activity: you’ll be giving yourself a name sign! You’ll see that this a great activity. Just like hearing people, deaf people have a “specific name” for use within the deaf community. It’s our name sign. For example, mine is this and you should also have one. By the end of the week you’ll know how you can give yourself a name sign, but you can start thinking about it now! Like always, you can start the activities with which ever step you like, but I’d recommend you follow the order of the activities as they are programmed.
