Skip to 0 minutes and 18 secondsOn 23 October 2007, Law 27/2007 was passed, which recognizes Spanish sign languages in Spain and regulates the speech communication aids for the deaf, deaf blind or hard of hearing. On 3 June 2010 the Catalan Sign Language Law was passed and published in the Official Journal of the Catalan Government. This law regulates the means of support and use of Catalan sign language for signers that need it to communicate.
