How do I ask a content question without an interrogative sign?

Previously, in Step 4.11 we saw how to ask content questions with an interrogative sign. Interestingly, in Catalan Sign Language, as in many others sign languages, we can ask content questions without an interrogative sign. We will show you how to do this with the three examples below.

We suggest that you revisit Step 1.14 to get more examples. In that step, Alexandra signed frequent expressions used to say hello and introduce yourself. Do you recognize some content questions without an interrogative sign?

In what follows you’ll find some more examples of content questions without an interrogative sign:

  1. “What is your name?”

2.“How old are you?”

  1. “What time is it?”
