Managing Neurodifferences in the Workplace
Explore neurodiversity to develop talent and create a neuroinclusive workplace.
This course equips learners with insights to understand and harness neurodiversity within teams. Recognising the unique strengths of neurodivergent individuals, present in at least 1 in 7 people, is vital for effective leadership. Participants will explore the neurodiversity paradigm, neurodivergent workplace experiences, and develop understanding of strategies for creating a neuroinclusive environment. Upon completion, learners will have the skills to identify and nurture neurodivergent talent, enhance team dynamics, and foster inclusive excellence.
What topics will you cover?
- Week 1 - Introducing neurodiversity.
- Week 2 - Neurodiversity, inclusion and inclusive leadership.
- Week 3 - Exploring attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
- Week 4 - Exploring autism.
- Week 5 - Dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and Tourette’s syndrome.
- Week 6 - Young people and neurodiversity.
- Week 7 - Neuroinclusive workplaces.
- Week 8 - Case study: Yellow River.
- Week 9 - A societal approach to neurodivergence: examining legal and media influences.
- Week 10 - Future of neurodiversity and next steps.
