This course is part of the Managing Neurodifferences in the Workplace program, which will enable you to promote workplace diversity with leadership that embraces neurodivergence.

Explore neurodiversity to develop talent and create a neuroinclusive workplace. 

This course equips learners with insights to understand and harness neurodiversity within teams. Recognising the unique strengths of neurodivergent individuals, present in at least 1 in 7 people, is vital for effective leadership. Participants will explore the neurodiversity paradigm, neurodivergent workplace experiences, and develop understanding of strategies for creating a neuroinclusive environment. Upon completion, learners will have the skills to identify and nurture neurodivergent talent, enhance team dynamics, and foster inclusive excellence.

What topics will you cover?

  • Week 1 - Introducing neurodiversity.
  • Week 2 - Neurodiversity, inclusion and inclusive leadership.
  • Week 3 - Exploring attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
  • Week 4 - Exploring autism.
  • Week 5 - Dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and Tourette’s syndrome.
  • Week 6 - Young people and neurodiversity.
  • Week 7 - Neuroinclusive workplaces.
  • Week 8 - Case study: Yellow River.
  • Week 9 - A societal approach to neurodivergence: examining legal and media influences.
  • Week 10 - Future of neurodiversity and next steps.
