On this course you will explore how you can actively manage your own health data. You will learn what health data is and how it’s stored. You will discover tools you can use to understand and use your own health data. You will also consider the security, legal and ethical issues surrounding health data management. You should leave the course empowered to manage and make use of your own health data.

Who is the course for?

This course is for anyone interested in improving how their health data is managed. You need basic computer skills but no previous experience of the subject.

Who will you learn with?

Associate Prof. at Artificial Intelligence Department UPM. With a large experience in biomedical data management, I am interested in innovative data-driven models to improve the healthcare ecosystem.

PhD and teaching assistant at the UPM, research member of Biomedical Informatics Group. My main research interests are focused on biomedical informatics, medical vocabularies and clinical models.

PhD in Computer Science from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Researcher for the last 14 years in health data integration and image processing. Professor at UPM Computer Science since 2010.

I am a chartered engineer, and my research interests are centred on digital health and its application to global public health challenges.
