We hope you’ve enjoyed the first week of the course. Very well done for staying with us this far into the course.

Hopefully you’ve had the chance to develop a sense of part of the history of mature learners and your place within that. You will have also considered what it is to be a mature learner for you, what some of your barriers are, as well as appreciating that where there are barriers, there are tools to break them down and consider a future as a returner learner. By contributing to the discussions throughout this first week, we hope you have been able to recognise that you are not alone in this stage of returning to education; that you have a range of valuable skills that will be of great benefit to you and others when you return to education.

If you’ve got any reflections on the week, if there has been one particular aspect of the course so far that has resonated with you, or if you have the chance to apply your learning in ways suggested by any sections in Week 1, and you’d like to share your thoughts, please do so!

See you in Week 2!
