Meet the mentors

The course features mentoring by Jen Opie and Sherelle Connaughton. They’ll support you as you make your way through the course, directing discussions and providing additional information to help make your learning experience the best it can be.

Consider following Jen and Sherelle to make sure you’re aware of the comments they’ve made throughout the course. You can follow them by selecting the links to their FutureLearn profile pages and then selecting follow. That way, you’ll easily be able to notice the comments they make.

Sherelle Connaughton

Sherelle has worked in healthcare and education for 25 years, having trained in psychology, research and music therapy. Since completing her PhD and Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2007, her focus has been on health enhancement, particularly mindfulness and stress management, for students and staff at Monash University. She also consults for corporate clients and people with chronic health concerns.

Follow Sherelle

Jen Opie

Jen has worked in adult education for fourteen years, and now specialises in mindfulness-based health enhancement and mindfulness-based yoga. She has evaluated Monash University’s health enhancement program for medical students and now tutors Monash University students on such programs. Outside of work Jen enjoys dancing, playing basketball, reading, travelling, and sharing meals with family.
