Meet the mentors

The course features mentoring by Sherelle Connaughton and Jen Opie. They’ll support you as you make your way through the course, directing discussions and providing additional information to help make your learning experience the best it can be.

Sherelle Connaughton

Sherelle has worked in healthcare and education for 25 years, having trained in psychology, research and music therapy. Since completing her PhD and Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2007, her focus has been on health enhancement, particularly mindfulness and stress management, for students and staff at Monash University. She also consults for corporate clients and people with chronic health concerns.

Follow Sherelle

Jen Opie

Jen has worked in adult education for 15 years. She has trained, researched, and worked in the fields of psychology, yoga, and English language teaching. In 2013 she evaluated Monash University’s mindfulness-based health enhancement program for first year medical students and then went on to tutor Monash University students on such programs. In addition to working on Monash University’s online mindfulness courses, she is currently completing further postgraduate studies in clinical psychology.
