Maggie Jago Lead, Educator

I lead the MSc Museum Education at University of Glasgow. I am passionate about museums as a source for developing knowledge and skill sets and believe museums can stimulate social, cultural, and personal enlightenment.

Anne Wallace, Educator

I was Education Officer for Glasgow’s nine museums and galleries before retirement. My passion for learning through arts and heritage continues through writing and involvement with various organisations including the University of Glasgow for whom I am an Associate lecturer and educator for this course.

Lucy Armitage, Guest Educator

I lead on and support evaluation, research and audience advocacy for the Burrell Renaissance Project. I work across target and interpretive audiences to ensure that their views and preferences are represented in the refurbishment of the museum. I also co-lead on the Community Engagement Programme, identifying, building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of groups and organisations.

Caroline Currie, Guest Educator

My main responsibility is ensuring that content, facilities and programmes within the redevelopment of the Burrell Collection meets audience needs and are as accessible as possible. Working with the Deaf community is a particular passion and after achieving Level 6 NVQ British Sign Language I do all I can to influence accessibility at Glasgow Museums.

Carolyn Foran, Guest Educator

I currently work part time as Museum Education Officer overseeing the development and delivery of a programme for nursery, primary and secondary schools across nine venues. I am passionate about the opportunities that museums can present for learning outside the classroom in new and exciting ways. My particular areas of interest are with early years audiences and catering as well as catering for audiences with additional support needs.
