Thanks for joining us on the course

In this video, Dr Victoria Kain and Dr Elizabeth Forster re-cap what has been covered in the two week 'Assessment of the Newborn' course.

As paediatric nurses, with many years of experience, we know the difference we can make in the lives of newborns and their families.

Although we witness the joy of new babies being brought into the world every day, it’s important to not become complacent. We encourage those of you who are already in clinical practice to keep sight of the teaching role we play with parents. We are in a privileged position to encourage their confidence, share information and support that all important bond with their new baby.

Whether this course has contained new information for you or has served to reinforce what you already know, we hope you are feeling positive and excited about your learning. Remember, whether you’re a parent or a clinician, if ever you’re unsure or in doubt – always ask.

Thanks again for your wonderful contribution to this course. We have enjoyed meeting you and wish you all the very best.
