Skip to 0 minutes and 11 seconds I was just sitting there in the hospital shaking, thinking how will I ever recover from this? I thought that I would never see him smile at me again, hear his laughter, or feel his touch. 47 years we’d been married, and I lose him to a stroke in a split second. My life is turned upside down. I don’t remember her sitting down. I didn’t hear her speak to me, if she even did. I just felt her presence. I remember thinking, surely you’re all too busy to worry about me. But she just sat calm and took my hand, put an arm around me, and held me. That act, that single act of compassion words can’t even describe it.
