Norwegian for beginners, level A1 – A2.

Trondheim Trondheim

Congratulations! You have successfully completed Course 1 and now you just started Course 2. That means you are well on your way to learning Norwegian at beginner’s level.

In Course 1 you learnt how to form very basic sentences and very basic questions in Norwegian, so you can introduce yourself, tell others where you are from, ask others about themselves and have a very simple short conversation about your day.

In order to do that, you learnt the very basics of how Norwegian nouns and verbs behave. You learnt how to inflect nouns in Norwegian and how to make simple sentences in present tense.

But speaking a language means to know more than that…don’t you agree?

So now, you have to build upon that very basic knowledge and add some more skills.

LanguageBooks

We are still at beginner level, but in Course 2 we will learn how to speak in more complex sentences.

We will for example learn how to describe things and people we know, we will learn to talk about what you did yesterday and why, how and even if you did something at all…

That means that in this course we will for example learn the inflection of adjectives and how to make and use Norwegian past tenses, and by the end of the course we will even introduce subordinate sentences to express how different actions are interconnected and relate to each other.

We will still follow the Vidals and learn Norwegian from and with them, and you will be presented with new vocabulary and new grammar features each week.

We hope you managed to establish good study routines during Course 1 so you will not fall behind and rather will enjoy your progress.

And remember…you can pause the course, review it, repeat it, listen it all again and learn at your own pace whenever and wherever you are.

What is new on Course2?

Well, we have included relevant cultural information and facts in the vocabulary list for each character’s text.
