Congratulations and Goodbyes

Outrovideo

We want to compliment you on your efforts during these past few weeks and on your achievements by completing all the three courses in our series LearnNoW – Norwegian for beginners, level A1-A2.

The journey that brought you here has had its ups and downs, but we hope you also found it enjoyable and fun, and that you now know Norway and us Norwegians a bit better.

By now you should have reached the level A2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

That means that you now can:
  • Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and sentences related to basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, study, employment and spare time.
  • Introduce yourself and others and ask and answer questions about personal details such as where you live, people you know and things you have.
  • Interact in a simple way, provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
  • Communicate in a simple way about familiar and routine matters.
  • Describe in simple terms aspects of your cultural background, your immediate environment, what you like or dislike and be able to put that information on a timeline from past to present.
  • Feel comfortable to start reading and writing more complex sentences and to listen to and engage in longer conversation in Norwegian.
That’s quite impressive!
You should be proud of what you’ve learnt! It hasn’t been easy.
We hope that you will continue to deepen your study of the Norwegian language and that you will further improve your communications skills.
To all of you:
Thank you so much for taking part in this adventure, for your time and dedication.
We wish you all the best and hope you’ll come and visit us in Norway!
