Bringing it all together

During this course we have examined the issues of stress, migration, economics and politics, shortages and professional image.

Having shared your thoughts and experiences with the group you will now have the opportunity to bring it all together by looking at how these factors can be connected as potential causes or effects of each other.

Writing a cause/effect paragraph

A cause/effect paragraph discusses a single cause and the effect/effects that relate to it.

Step 1.4 in week 1 shows an example of a cause/effect paragraph.

Your task

  • Write a cause/effect paragraph (maximum 200 words) that describes the inter-relationships between the key issues in nursing.

  • Share your cause/effect paragraph in the discussion with your group.

  • Comment on at least two other paragraphs.
