Serial PEF measurements as a diagnostic tool

As we just have shown you, serial measurements of PEF, several times a day, and both on days at and away from work, can be used as a diagnostic tool for a possible work-related asthma.

After several weeks the results can be plotted into a diagram like this. In this case the measurements are indicative of a work-related asthma. ^{© University of Bergen/Arjun Ahluwalia}
