Machines or men? Discussion

Step 5. Discussion - machines or men?

What is best – machines or men? For example, in a coffee factory, like the one you see in the video here, it is important for product quality to sort the coffee beans according to size and weight.

Is it best to have a workplace for 100 persons, standing at the assembly lines sorting beans – with the possibility of the workers to develop pain and problems in their back , neck and arms – or to have a factory with ten persons who control machines which sort the beans, like the one you see here? Is manual work for many persons better than work using robots? Please discuss!
