Review sites and testimonials

For online businesses, review sites and testimonials are ways to get feedback from customers and use this feedback to grow the business.

Online businesses can use testimonials and review sites to overcome apprehension, build trust and encourage the target audience to purchase.

Testimonials and feedback can be used as a way to:

  • Strengthen marketing messages and claims.
  • Be more credible.
  • Strengthen internal weaknesses of the business (identify areas for improvement).
  • Understand the business’s strengths (what your business does better than your competitor).

If you’re looking for a list of review sites, one of the best places to start is by looking at aggregators of review sites. Many of these aggregators are a low cost per month or even free. The job of an aggregator is to bring together all of the reviews of products from multiple sites. Categories as well as countries have various aggregators. For example, tripadvisor.com is an aggregator site for the travel industry and zomato.com is an aggregator site for restaurant reviews.

Now that you understand a little bit more about review sites and testimonials, take a look at the list of aggregator review sites for the category of your small business, as well as for your country.
