If you use the internet for all or any part of your business then you have an online business. This course defines an online business as “any business that transacts part or all of their business activities on the internet”. The transaction does not need to be in monetary terms - an example could be free downloads.

Business methods

Just like bricks and mortar businesses, online businesses have many ways of doing business. The methods (models) of doing business now available for an online entrepreneur are many and varied - varying in the degree and type of online business delivery - with new methods constantly evolving with the evolution of the internet.
