This course aims to enable you to develop your knowledge of business ethics and how it can be turned into a sustainable competitive advantage.
You will also have the chance to explore how corporate culture shapes the strategic direction of an organisation and why some organisations fail to maintain their market leader position.

By the end of the course, you‘ll be able to...
- Define and explore concepts of business ethics and critically discuss the case for corporate social responsibility (CSR)
- Apply theoretical frameworks and concepts to assess an organisation’s ethical stance, such as the UN Global Compact principles, Carroll’s CSR pyramid, and Triple Bottom Line
- Link CSR to competitive advantage and assess an organisations potential to add value through strategic management
- Analyse the impact of national, field-level and organisational cultures on strategic decision making
- Assess the key features of an organisation’s culture and the role of a company’s core values in building organisation culture
- Evaluate an organisation’s ability to divert from a strategic drift and strategic lock-in using path dependence theory
