Skip to 0 minutes and 26 secondsKyriaki Makopoulou: Hello my name is Kyriaki Makopoulou, and I'm a course tutor.

Skip to 0 minutes and 30 secondsVicky Goodyear: Now all four of us will be taking you through the content each week with international guests and physical education teachers we work with. The key aim of the course is to help you reach the highest standards of professional practice, and ensure that you're an outstanding practitioner in the field. To do this, of course, is based around the idea of activation. This involves you diagnosing learning, responding to students learning needs, and evaluating the impact of your practice. So, week one will focus on diagnosing, week two will focus on responding, and week three will focus on evaluation. Now, the course is designed to be interactive, and that you will learn with other people on the course, alongside us.

Skip to 1 minute and 16 secondsEach week will have a common format of four content videos, with associated interactive tasks for you to do. Now, since many of you have probably never used a MOOC platform before, or learned online, we want you to introduce yourself to the online network and familiarize yourself with the platform. So there are three associated tasks for you engage with after this video. And we look forward to seeing you in the next video where we'll introduce activation and explore this week's theme of diagnosis in detail.
