Welcome to the course

Welcome to “What is persuasive Communication” - a three-week course being offered by the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University.

Our lead educator for the three weeks will be Dr. Bart Collins. Dr. Collins is the the director of the Brian Lamb School’s Online Master of Science Program in Communication and graduate certificate program in Strategic Communication Management. He is also a faculty scholar and in Purdue’s Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering. Collins, who earned his master’s degree at the University of Arkansas and his doctorate in Communication Studies at the University of Kansas. Next we will hear from Dr. Collins as he introduces our focus for the next three weeks.

You may add comments at the bottom of any course page, but to build more rapport between you and the other learners in the course, we will also use discussions. When asked to contribute to a discussion, you will find that link at the bottom of the page as well.
