The Physiological Society is a membership organisation of over 3500 people that share an interest in physiology. The Society has continued to grow since it was formed 140 years ago and is proud to include Charles Darwin as one of its first honorary members.

The Society supports research into how the whole body works in health and disease and aims to increase the number of people interested, studying or working in physiology. We hope that by taking part in this online course, you will begin to share our members’ passion to understand more about how the body works. If you are undertaking the course to refresh previous knowledge, we hope that it inspires you to find out more about developments in physiology.

Please read the information in the attachment available in the Downloads section below if you would like to find out more about the work of The Society, or about how you might be able to engage with our activities. We would love to hear about your experiences of completing this free online course and hope that you engage in the discussion boards as you go through the course, some of which will be moderated by our members.
