Why you should reference?

One of the hardest things is knowing what needs to be referenced, and why. The point where you put a reference needs to indicate to the reader exactly what information comes from that source. So you couldn’t, for example, just put a reference at the end of a paragraph to indicate that some of the information in that paragraph comes from that reference. You need to be specific in indicating exactly what information, or opinion, is derived from that source.
