We asked some of the teachers on our teacher forum who advise on and test every aspect of our programme to tell us what science meant to them. Here is what they said –

I believe Science is a subject that gives children the chance to make sense of the world around them. I love seeing the joy and wonder in their eyes when they discover something new, or something that alters their perception in some way.
Personally, I love teaching Science. The excitement of the experiments makes for excellent learning opportunities and often provides really memorable moments that the children talk about year on year.
The only issue really is resourcing and preparing the lessons, which takes more time normally than most other lessons. A reliable central bank of high quality resources would be a Godsend!
