Exploring event logs with the dotted chart
After loading an event log into ProM it is important to apply the dotted chart to get initial process insights before process models are discovered.
In this lecture we discuss the dotted chart, a powerful visual tool to quickly get an understanding of the whole event log. We show several settings that can be used, and patterns that can be discovered.

- Instead of starting the dotted chart as shown in the video, you can also press the ‘eye’-icon, and select the “Dotted chart (logProjection)” visualizer in the visualizer drop-down on the top right.
