Skip to 0 minutes and 0 seconds Hi there. » I’m Krista, Krista Jordan, Head of Animation here at AFTRS, the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. » I started my career many years ago with a Visual Communications Degree. » And over many, many years, more than 20 years, in fact, I spent my time working in animation, visual effects, film, and screen story with a particular love and passion for Production Design in that space. » I’ve had some great opportunities to work on films where Production Design is at the heart and at the core of the success of those stories. Films like The Matrix, Moulin Rouge, Babe with Directors like George Miller and Baz Luhrman.

Skip to 0 minutes and 42 seconds What I love about the Production Design element in those films is that it’s about that world-building and Production Design, whether it’s practical Production Design or virtual Production Design, is so exciting because we get to create things where things never existed before. We get to build worlds, worlds from the imagination, worlds from the heart. With this course, I’d love to share some of that information with you and we’d love for you to join myself and my colleagues as we provide a little introduction to the space. » So I look forward to seeing you there.
