The role of a Project Manager in it is to make sure that we measure what is required and how much time and effort do we require to complete that. So one of the key fundamentals what we need to look at as a Project Manager - every organisation require production of service in order for them to produce or provide a service - they are relying on the project or Project Managers for example.
Skip to 0 minutes and 42 seconds So for a student prospect this is something you can develop your skills in it and it will be rewarded and if you look at any organisation now they - number one from the student prospective the chances of employability is much higher in this area and the variety, it doesn’t matter what background you have or what kind of interested experience you have once you start developing your skills as a Project Manager you will be able to manage any project and that’s the beauty of the project management, there are many kinds of projects which we can look at, whether its building a road network or whether its building a task or we are making lets say ships or we are making rails, it doesn’t mean that you have to have a knowledge from a genuine background so you can develop your understanding from a project point of view and can apply that in any area of your business or any area of business world.
Introduction to the course
Welcome to this course. We have designed it to give you the opportunity to develop your understanding and skills in project management. Watch the video above where one of your lead educators, Umair Tanveer, introduces project management and why it is relevant across such a variety of businesses.
This is the first short course in the Project Management for International Business program, which forms part of the BA in International Business (Top Up) online degree at Coventry University. For those enrolled on the full program, over the next five short courses we will take you through the key stages of project management from project initiation to project closure. We will help you deepen your understanding of project management in business cases and enhance your abilities as successful project managers.
We start our journey here looking at project initiation. This short course will start by looking at the big question:
