Meet the Team!

Learners meet the course hosts.

Achieng Kokonya, Child Protection Specialist at The Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action, is the course host and will be navigating us through this six-week course. Achieng’s child protection expertise focuses primarily on work with refugee populations and unaccompanied and separated children.

Your course co-host is Claire Whiting , Child Protection and Humanitarian Coordination Specialist. Claire has over 15 years of experience in Child Protection and Humanitarian Policy and Practice across a diverse range of humanitarian contexts globally.

Achieng and Claire will support discussions and generally be available to support your learning and social engagement in the course.

We strongly believe that this course will give you a holistic overview of the different dimensions of child protection within COVID-19 and other IDOs. The course is built to allow you to work at your own pace while engaging with other learners from around the globe. Why miss such an opportunity?

You are encouraged to view Achieng’s and Claire’s FutureLearn profiles and to follow them both so you can easily see any comments they make during the course.
