Summary of Week 1
We have now reached the end of Week 1. We now have a clearer understanding of how public health was defined, structured, and who was responsible for ensuring good public health.
Next week we will look at the different challenges posed to public health in post-war Britain. We will discuss the epidemiological transition, and look at the changing nature of challenges to public health. We will also discover the challenges that both chronic and infectious diseases posed to public health. Finally, we will end the week by discussing the impact of inequality and socio-economic status on health outcomes.
